Thursday. I went up to T.J.’s parents’ home again because I had a lot of work to get done for my dad and I needed some help with Eva. She was quite a handful because of some stomach issues, thank goodness for all of my in-laws’ help! I made dinner for his fam to thank them and then we watched Parks and Rec and The Office together. Weren’t both of those show hilarious?
Wednesday. I’m on some new medicine and it made me ridiculously tired on Wednesday. Like I couldn’t even open my eyes. So Eva and I napped a lot that day. We went on a little walk around the neighborhood because the weather was absolutely incredible (that’s why we put Eva in her little snowsuit so she’d be super warm… it reminds me of the boy in The Christmas Story). Oh, and my old roommate Dana came over and met Eva for the first time. We talked forever and reminisced about the golden days living together at Heritage and at Chatham Towne.

Tuesday. We went to the doctor for Eva’s two month checkup. I love our doctor so much! He is so gentle with Eva and I really appreciated that he knew our names and asked about Eva’s diaper rash, which is what we saw him last about. He said that Eva is ahead of schedule, already rolling over and making great eye contact. It is such an amazing blessing to have a healthy and happy baby! What I thought was funny was that her height and weight (11.5 lbs) were in the the 20% percentile but her head circumference was in the 60% percentile. Oh, I love that big head of hers! What a little charmer!
Monday. President’s Day meant no school or work for T.J. so we Just Danced it up at T.J.’s parents’ home. I got back to Provo just in time for the Bachelor club… can you believe Kacey B. got kicked off? Ben is ridiculous. He’s boring and has low morals, so actually I can believe he got rid of her. Kacey deserves MUCH better and I can’t wait for her to see all the episodes so she realizes her getting kicked off was the best thing that happened to her. I’m hosting the club next week, so if you want to join us, come over to my place on Monday at 7.
My calling in the ward is the Relief Society Activities Committee member and last Saturday we had an activity for all the sisters. We had chicken salad, desserts, and lots of crafts.
Eva and I were matching in our Valentine’s outfits.
We shared date ideas with each other.
Cute V-day decor

On February 8th, Eva turned 2 months. These two months have sped by but I also feel like I’ve always had her in my life. She is rowing everyday and can no longer fit into most of her newborn clothes. She has been sleeping from about 11-7 or 8 without getting up and last night she slept in her crib until 2… a big improvement.
Likes
New people and places, kicking her legs on the changing table, taking naps in the LoveSac, bottles, seeing mom and dad when she wakes up, rolling over, her new cousin, being held outwards, the TV, her grandparents, riding in the stroller.
Dislikes
Riding in the car, breast-feeding (don’t worry mom, I’m still doing it, but she seriously hates it and it is always a battle!), waiting for food, getting out of the tub/shower, putting clothes over her head. That’s about it. She is a happy baby!
It’s been more than a week since I posted, and you know me, that feels like forever. Everyday I’ve thought about posting, I just haven’t been in the mood, plus I have been so busy with church, work, the baby, and family stuff. So, I’m going to try to catch up today because I’ve got a lot to write about and a lot of great pictures!
First of all, last week the ward asked me to host the mothers’ group. I’ve never been to the mothers’ group in our ward so I wasn’t exactly sure of what to expect, but I love hosting parties so I figured it would be just another fun get together.
Well, it was fun. And it was nice to get to know more people in the ward. BUT at one point there were about 15 toddlers running around the house and it was in that moment when I realized my house is not toddler proofed. Thank goodness I thought about putting the computer away, because I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t have made it through the madness. My favorite part of the morning is how three kids put Eva’s binky into their mouths at different points.
It also made me wonder if I’ll be able to handle Eva as a toddler. I guess I’ll grow as a mother as she grows. But I sure love my cuddly little girl. It’s the spunkiness in her, though, that I’m worried will be a lot to handle when she gets older.
I cut my hair the first week of December. It’s a little past my shoulders and I didn’t do anything to my bangs because I thought I would try and grow them out.
But now that I cut my hair, I just want to cut it even shorter. I didn’t take too much off last time because I was worried I wouldn’t like it being short, but I had it long for a while so I think it’s time to switch it up even more. Plus, it’s easier and takes less time, which is a huge plus with a newborn.
I’m thinking I’ll get it cut like it is in the pictures below… what do you think? Do you think I should go shorter than that? Should I get straight across bangs? I’m feeling quite adventurous!
On a different note, after looking at these two pictures, I CANNOT wait for summer and get my tan back. Boy oh boy, my skin is pale compared to these photos.
