In 19 days, T.J. and I will be in Kentucky! I cannot wait. I also cannot wait for our direct flight straight into Cincinnati. Usually, we have one or two stops before we get to Louisville, then a 2 hour drive home. This will be much better!

Here are some things about home that I am excited:

  • Family
  • Blair and Little Blair
  • Crushed Ice and water from the fridge
  • Lots of goodies
  • Christmas Eve with the Dorans
  • MEETING AMELIA, my new neice
  • Skyline
  • Panera
  • Graeters

So any day now, through the next week or two, I will get an email to find out if I got the New York Internship I applied for. The Journalism emphasis already found out if they got it, so the anticipation is really starting to grow.

I’m trying to make a list of good things about not getting in. So far I have the following:

  • We will save about $8,000.
  • We don’t have any money, anyways.
  • I will be able to go to Ryan’s wedding.
  • I will be able to go to Dana’s wedding.
  • I can get a job right after graduation and not worry about school.
  • I won’t have to pay tuition for Spring term.
  • I won’t have to do the weekly emails and stuff that is required for the internship program.
  • I will not be away from T.J. (He would come, but not for the whole time).

Pretty good list, right? True, but mot as good as this list:

  • It will be the most exciting few months of my life.
  • I’d live on Columbia’s campus for a few months.
  • It will be the most amazing opportunity for my career!
  • It will help me figure out if I like the pace and can handle the pace of city life in a big agency.
  • New York City shopping.

Anyway, I know whatever will happen will be for the best. Keep me in your prayers!

Hey guys, I came across this cool deal on Shutterfly. Sign up and they’ll contact you if you qualify. Then all you have to do is write a post about this promotion and you get fifty free Christmas cards.

Here’s another one that they did.

Oh Glee, I miss you so much. Why did you have to turn so scandalous and racy? Has anybody been keeping up with it? Has it gotten any better?

K, I cheated. I gave up Glee, but I came across this song and am obsessed. It turns out my new idol is Gwyneth Paltrow. I LOVE her voice, it’s so unique! Anyway, be warned. Once you listen to this song, you will want to keep it on repeat for days and might burst out singing it on campus!

Just like millions of other, on November 18th, a few friends and I waited for the Midnight showing of Harry Potter 7.1. We went to a ghetto theater where tickets were only 6 bucks, but we had to wait outside for about four hours. Photo op? Yes. (I apologize for looking so anemic in these photos. This is what happens to me in the winter when I ban the tanning bed.)

Saturday night, T.J. watched the awful Utah game and I decided to watch a Netflix movie in my warm bed. Sleepless in Seattle was my choice of the night. I just needed to watch something with Meg Ryan.

Anyway, I wanted to share the ending with you because it is so precious and I love it more than anything. If you haven’t seen the whole movie for a while, go home and watch it this Christmas season.

For about seven years, White Christmas by The Drifters was stuck in my head. I’m not kidding. I sang it all the time. But one day it passed, and it no longer is a part of my life.

It came on my Pandora Christmas station today, though, so I thought I would share a bit of this joy with you.
