This week was kind of difficult with Eva. We came back from San Antonio on Monday and when we returned, I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great trip. But it’s hard to travel with Eva by myself and kind of exhausting to be off our routine for so many days. Then on Tuesday, Eva decided she wanted to be fussy and act like she was teething for the rest of the week. Fortunately, I have in-laws that took her for an afternoon so I could have a little time to myself and my husband was around a lot this week. But the whining almost drove me nuts!
All that being said, there are times where Eva really redeems herself. For example, yesterday she wouldn’t calm down for her morning nap and so after a while, I took her out of her crib and just let her play. I was pretty upset with her but then, without any motivation from me, Eva took about four steps without any assistance! I started freaking out. Tears, laughter, clapping, even jumping up and down. I was one proud momma!
A couple other times through the week I would pull out her teddy bears (Salt and Pepper are their names) and she would attack them with kisses! Words really can’t describe how cute it was, so just enjoy the pictures. When times are hard with Eva, I’ll just pull these photos out and remember how darling she is.
