The Conspirator

T.J. and I saw the movie The Conspirator recently and we really enjoyed it. It is about Mary Surratt who was charged as a co-conspirator in the trial of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. I’ve read a few articles about the actual events and apparently the movie is not very historically accurate, although the basic premise of the film is based on facts. I recommend it to everyone, especially if you enjoy historical fiction. And the movie will lead to many interesting discussions because the themes are so relevant to our day.
