SoHo Stroll

A couple weeks ago, we had a warm Saturday and ventured into the city as a family. We walked through Washington Square Park and then explored a couple streets and stores of SoHo.

It’s always stressful for me trying to find a place to eat in the city with Eva because of her stroller. If a place is busy, there’s no place to put the stroller and people sometimes seem annoyed when you bring a toddler into a restaurant (depending on the place). But we found a little place called Galli on Mercer Street. There was no one in there, I guess we came before the lunch rush. And the food was really tasty!

We promised Eva we would take her to the park and swing, so on the way home we stopped at the Hoboken stop and walked over to the Newport Greene, only to find it was already closed for the day. Who closes a park at 5 pm? Maybe it was because snow still covered the whole place. But it sure was a disappointment and we had to tell Eva the swings were broken because nothing else would ease her sadness. White lies are okay, right? At lease the view from the park made it all worth it! Look how blue the sky was that day! Eek… I can’t wait for summer!

Looks like a perfect day! Love big city life! That picture of lower Manhattan is beautiful! The new Freedom Tower is awesome and just gleaming in that beautiful sunshine!
