Miniature

Usually when things are in baby size, they taste better to me. I think because they usually look cuter, my brain thinks they taste better too. But baby golf fish are adorable, so they clearly taste better. Another example is mini M&Ms: precious and delicious. Mini Reese Cups, Mini Frosted Wheats, finger sandwiches, the small diet cokes in those cute little skinny cans, cupcakes, mini cupcakes (jackpot), mini cookies, bagel bites, mini muffins, the list goes on and on.

Well, because I’m sick of the way I look in my jeans and frankly I’ve been spending too much time in the morning trying to put on my skinny jeans, I decided to bring a different snack to work today. I usually bring gold fish or Cheerios.

Today I brought baby carrots. I usually hate raw carrots. I never ever at any point in my life for any reason have liked them, but I saw the cute little bag of baby carrots at the grocery store and thought I’d give them a try. They’re miniature, so they’ve gotta be good, right?

Wrong. I’m practically shoving these things down my throat, in complete agony. I brought sugar snap peas too, which I’m using to clear out the taste of the carrot. Awful.

So the lesson here is this: just because something is small or miniature, it doesn’t make it taste good.

Oh, kind of on the same topic, but not food… miniature beagles and miniature horses are probably the cutest things in the world. The following videos are a-dor-a-ble.
