Key Change
T.J.’s mom let us borrow her keyboard. I didn’t think I would get much use out of, honestly. But I’ve only had it for about a week and I’ve played it everyday. I have it set up in the back bedroom, ready to go with music. And I’ll tell you what, I forgot how much fun it is to play piano (err…keyboard).
On Sunday night, I sat down to play a few children’s hymns before I went to bed and T.J. came in and started singing along with me. I played a few of the Articles of Faith songs (which I never learned in Primary… they are all so depressing sounding so I played them in a different key). After messing around with those songs for a while, I flipped to the song called, “I’ll Walk with You.”
Here are the lyrics:
If you don’t walk as most people do some people walk away from you.
But I won’t! I won’t!
If you don’t talk as most people do, some people talk and laugh at you,
but I won’t I won’t!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you. That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
I know that the rest of the song is very sweet, but the first half of the song seems so rude to me! The words might as well be, Oh hey, by the way people are making fun of you and ignoring you because you talk and walk weird. But I’m a good friend and won’t do that.
Did I go too far? Story of my life.
