Dear Hannah,

Let’s do a little math equation, shall we.

I had one girlfriend. She left me. How many girlfriends do I have now and on a scale from 0-10 (0 being the lowest, 10 the highest), how depressed am I without you?

If you answered 0 to both of those questions, you are correct.

Turns out every woman needs a man and her best friend by her side. So, jeez louise, come back and see my baby bump already.

Pleaseandthankyou,

Katie Lee

P.S. I hope this picture makes you cry as much as it does me.

S’more s’mores, please.

(It’s kind of embarrassing that I’m an advertising major and the most creative title I could come up with is the one posted above.)

I think I mentioned that T.J.’s brother gave him (us) a fire-pit for T’s birthday, along with chocolate, marshmallows, and grahams. So, last night we had our first fire in the fire-pit with his siblings and another couple. I really need to start taking pictures of everything because, let’s face it, that’s really the only good thing in blog posts. So, since I didn’t take pictures of our little activity last night, I’m posting an iphone pic of some s’mores I made in my broiler the other day. One graham cracker: on one half, chocolate and marshmallow, the other half peanut butter and marshmallow.

Yes, peanut butter and marshmallow.

Try it, folks. Turn on your oven to the broiler or just as hot as you can get it, stick one of those creations on the rack and watch it for a minute or too until the mallow is the perfect brownness. Delightful.

Another One Leaves Me

Carrie Ann O’Dell got a great internship in NY with the Geppetto Group! I’m so happy for her but so sad to see her leave! We became good friends Freshman year as I entertained her on her Birthday and then we just continued to be best buds through the Advertising Program. I love this girl and am so excited that she got the opportunity to work in such a great advertising agency. Good luck, Carrie!

D-Dawg’s Married!

My close friend and old roommate, Dana, got married about two weeks ago in the Salt Lake City temple! (Just about everyone I know is getting married, I tell you!)

I actually got to attend this sealing, and it was incredible. I kept thinking about my own sealing in the same place one year ago. I can’t believe it’s almost been one year. Oh, but back to Dana and Jameson. It was so special to attend the sealing with them in the temple and see these two be married for eternity! I am so happy for both of them. They looked great, and by the way, aren’t you in love with Dana’s dress?

Ryan {heart} Kacy

Ryan’s (Ryan is T.J.’s best friend from high school) reception was wonderful and so was his sealing, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend. Two weeks ago, I went to Dana’s sealing and forgot to put my temple recommend back in my wallet. I literally thought to myself at that moment, “I should really put that back.” But I got carried away by being in the temple and forgot, so I just slipped in my purse. So, when it came to this past Saturday, I couldn’t find my recommend and I searched that purse from Dana’s wedding and couldn’t find it anywhere. I threw a bit of a tantrum, but I was so upset that I couldn’t go to Ryan’s sealing. It was kind of ironic though because Ryan’s recommend was expired and so he couldn’t attend our sealing.

Oh, and I found my recommend later that weekend, in that same purse I had searched. It was in a secret zipped pocket that I didn’t see before.

Here’s the wedding party. I must say that T.J. looks very handsome.

T.J. looks a little scarier in this one, but it’s the perfect Zoolander Blue Steel pose.

We decorated their car. Now, you may think that I wrote that on the back window, but you are wrong. My husband is an artist, remember? I did do the polka dots though. I heard that they washed the car right after the reception… they are crazy! We kept ours on the whole honeymoon, which was a blast because everyone would honk and wave to us!

This is how it feels…

Okay, maybe I stole the title of this post from Hannah’s blog, but it was a great one and she’s probably excited that I loved it so much I wanted to copy it.

Since we’re talking about Hannah, may I just say that I love her BUT I do not like that she has left me. So the consensus is:

Friends don’t let friends leave forever.

That’s why my goal is to convince her to come back here in the fall.

On a similar note, another best friend is leaving me. On Thursday at 8 pm. Yes, I am talking about Michael Scott. I’m serious. I really am sad. Last night I re-watched the proposal scene and musical tribute the group sang to Michael last week. Adding that to a few previews of this week’s episode, I cried. FULL out cried.

I wish there was a way I could convince him to come back in the fall too.

So, that’s my life. Two of my closest friends are abandoning me, and so I am forced to watch Vitamin C’s Friend’s Forever music video over and over.

The Palendrome

Although, I am counting down the days (even minutes) until graduation, there is only ONE reason why I want time to slowwwww down.

Hannah Judd

In May, Hannah is going to Mexico to teach English to cute little Mexican children. Once she gets there, it’ll be the time of her life. But lately we have been realizing how much she will miss being gone through summer. Oh, and then she’s probably moving to Texas for a while so that means my life is about to be over. Well, it might as well be.

Hannah told me to write a post about all the things she will be missing when she is gone. I said no, it will make her cry. She said she will cry no matter what. So here I am.

  1. Seven Peaks pass/laying in a float on the wave pool for the majority of summer
  2. Premiere of HP7.2
  3. Premiere of Twilight
  4. Eating snow cones with ice-cream and condensed milk
  5. Potential road trips
  6. Wedding receptions
  7. Summer concerts in the park
  8. Less crowded city of Provo
  9. Me cleaning Hannah’s room… actually that will probably still happen, so scratch that.
  10. Maglebye’s Fresh for breakfast and that one Mexican restaurant that we always go to for dinner

Okay, after making this list, I realized there’s not much going on. What a tender ending! It will be okay as long as she has internet connection so we can have our daily evening gchat.

Bridal [Storm]

In the next two weeks, I have four bridal showers. Four. Can I just say that I’m thrilled? I love bridal showers! Everyone is so giddy and excited for the new bride-to-be, plus I love picking out the gifts. I can’t wait.

Birthday Blair

Well, well, well. Today is Blair Margaret Murphy’s Birthday. She is 22 years old. Seems just like yesterday, it was her 14th birthday and she was falling down the steps at the Levee in her chunky heals and short flares. Sadly, time has moved very fast and another year has past where I am not celebrating with her. Everyone needs a Mormon to celebrate with them on their birthday, don’t you think?

Some of the best times of my life have been with Blair.

Spring Break ’06: We were on an island in Florida. Turned out that the only boys on the island were retired old men or middle school/elementary kids. I didn’t have a problem with either of them (joking) and so I tried to get Blair to go hang out with the middle schoolers when she was deathly ill from the sun.

Spring Break ’07: Cocoa Beach. Need I say more?

Music videos and our stand up comedy that was suspiciously destroyed/lost.

Working at Snowie together.

The night before my wedding.

My 6th grade birthday party when Blair yelled at Rachel for jumping on the trampoline too long.

Walks up to Convenient for ice-cream.

I could go on and on. But the best part about Blair is that we can go for months without seeing each other and then when we finally do get to meet up, it’s like no time had gone by. She’s been a great friend since 4th grade and I hope she had a great birthday and has an amazing new year. Blair is starting med school this year, so it’s going to be a big one!

Love you lots!

xo xo,

Katie
